Uruguay is located in South America. Its capital and most populated city is Montevideo. It has a population of approximately 3,4 million inhabitants and it is the second smallest country in Latin America. Uruguay is regarded as one of the most socially advanced countries in Latin America, its ranked first in personal rights, democracy, peace and low perception of corruption. Uruguay is a founding member of the United Nations, the Organization of American States, Mercosur and Union of South American nations.
The economy of Uruguay is export-oriented. The agricultural sector is the most important one, but it also highlights tourism and Information Technology sector. In fact, Uruguay is the largest per capita exporter of software in Latin America.
